At Home with the Auditorium

Show Information

Although we can’t be together at our landmark theatre at this time, it’s never been more important for the arts to keep us connected, entertained, and uplifted. You can learn more about how we’re keeping our audiences connected with the arts, even while apart here. We’re especially excited to announce two new video series that will bring content from the Auditorium Theatre directly into your home!

Every Sunday at 6PM CDT, we’ll be streaming a live performance from one of the talented singers, dancers, and musicians from our community right into your home. All you have to do is tune in to our Facebook Live and enjoy our #StreamingSundays. Put on your comfy clothes, gather your friends and family (near and far!), and enjoy some of the Auditorium’s artists without leaving your couch.

May 31: The People’s Performance
We wouldn’t be the Theatre for the People without YOU, and now it’s your time to shine! We’re excited to share that we’ll be bringing you At Home With the Auditorium: The People’s Performance on Sunday, May 31 @ 6PM CDT! Are you an actor, singer, dancer, comedian, or performer of any kind who wants to show off their talent? Send us a video of you showing off your skills, and we’ll curate submissions into a very special #AtHomeWiththeAud premiere on Facebook Live. Learn more and read our guidelines here.

We’re bringing chats with arts professionals, experts, and star performers into your home. Every Wednesday at 6PM CDT, we’ll be posting interviews on a diverse array of subjects from our Facebook and Instagram pages. With a wide variety of topics and special guests, #AudTalk will allow you to dive deep into the Auditorium’s history, hear from members of our Visiting Resident Companies, and learn about our efforts to make art accessible to all.

Facebook Watch Parties

Watch parties are a feature on Facebook that allows a group to all watch and comment on a video at the same time to create a shared viewing experience. It’s a great way to share a moment of community and uplift content from our fellow performing arts organizations as we enjoy the arts while being #ApartButTogether.

Saturday, May 30 @ 7PM: New York City Ballet in A Midsummer Night’s Dream
George Balanchine’s enchanting ballet based on Shakespeare’s comedy comes to magical life in this 1986 Live From Lincoln Center broadcast with the New York City Ballet. We’ll be hosting a watch party to enjoy the performance as a community.

Thursday, June 4 @ 7PM: Alvin Ailey at Lincoln Center
Join Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre as the company presents a full-length performance featuring Ailey audience favorites including Wayne McGregor’s “Chroma”, Robert Battle’s “Takademe”, and, of course, Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations.”
