Verdi Voices

Show Information

There’s nothing more thrilling than the passion of Verdi as it pours forth in a stunning live performance. Join us at Lyric this February to warm up with an afternoon of thrilling vocal fireworks when Verdi Voices takes the stage. You’ll hear beloved favorites from Aida, Otello, and more, plus some gorgeous and more rarely-performed Verdi duets and arias that are sure to become favorites. Soprano Tamara Wilson and tenor Russell Thomas, two Lyric Opera of Chicago stalwarts, team up with Music Director Enrique Mazzola at the podium for repertoire which is known as his specialty. With the full power of the Lyric Opera Orchestra, this is a one-date-only, tour-de-force concert experience that you won’t want to miss.

As of January 13, 2022 Lyric Opera of Chicago requires that all audience members provide proof of full vaccination and booster, when eligible, against Covid-19 as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or World Health Organization (WHO) in order to enter the Lyric Opera House. We implement this policy with the goal of keeping you, our artists, technicians, and all of our company members as safe as possible. Lyric welcomes fully vaccinated children aged 5 to 11 to the theater with proof of vaccination and a parent or chaperone in lieu of photo identification.

Additionally, facial masks, worn properly over the nose and mouth, will be required for all patrons for the duration of their time in the opera house for as long as the community transmission requires it. Please note that bandanas, neck gaiters, and masks with exhalation valves are not accepted.

Children under the age of 5 who are not currently eligible for vaccination will not be admitted to Lyric Opera of Chicago performances at present.

These policies are subject to change; Please check with the theatre to confirm their current policy.
