Show Information

American Son is a tense and emotionally charged drama: An estranged biracial couple must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son. Set in a Florida police station in the middle of the night, American Son is a gripping tale of two parents caught in our national divide, with their worst fears hanging in the balance. Please note that Ghostlight Ensemble operates on a pay-what-you-can ticket model, with audience members who are financially able to donate more offsetting the cost for those who can’t.
